Barefoot and Pregnant: Paula Deen and Harry Potter

So I have been filling my week with this:

Unpacking isn't quite as thrilling as it looks. It hasn't been too bad though. I have the kitchen stuff all washed and unpacked (I was a little over zealous with the newspaper while packing, so I got inky fingerprints on EVERYTHING, making breaking in the new dishwasher necessary). I'm almost done putting away all of our clothes into our new mega closet. Next will be organizing the rest of the stuff-books, all my art stuff, etc. Until we have some bookshelves, we won't be able to put any of the books away.

The baby's room right now is home to all of the empty boxes, and some recent finds at garage sales. I didn't take pictures of them, but I will once we are done making small repairs. We got a big roll top desk for me to do art stuff. I thought it was really sweet for Jordan to pick it out for that purpose. We also found an awesome sewing machine-the kind that is made of steel and attached to the table it is on-we plugged it in before we bought it, tested it, and it runs perfectly. I'm really glad we found it for so cheap. The sewing machine I had before was definitely on it's last leg. It was a hand-me-down from my mom, and my mom used it until its dying breath with all her amazing quilts and other projects. I was lucky to have a year of use out of it. So now with this new machine, I can start getting to work sewing all the curtains, throw pillows, and baby stuff that I have been making a list of.
