Where We've Been

We were able to go camping a couple times with friends in the ward. Daisy did great! She doesn't sleep as well in a tent as her own room, but hey. Who does?

Daisy on a wagon ride with her friend and neighbor, Miss B.

 Enjoyed bath time with Momma.

Daisy LOVES trying new food, but is not very patient.

Check out these poses. She makes them a lot now, and they just kill me.

 Playing Peek-a-boo

Here is a little preview of a photoshoot Jordan's mom took of Daisy. She really knows how to ham it up for the camera.

These are adorable football star pictures of Jordan from high school. What a stud.

We went to California! Jordan had a business trip to San Francisco, so with his parents in Sacramento, we had to take an impromptu vacation!

Our hotel was right in the middle of all the shopping down town. Perfect.

People were waaaayyyy too friendly to Daisy in Chinatown. A bunch of people took pictures of her, and one woman really overstepped some boundaries. We were in a little shop looking around, and a couple of the shopkeepers stopped to admire Daisy. She was in a little umbrella stroller (our big one was not going to fit in those little shops) and a woman knelt down to talk to Daisy. Before I could even realize what was even happening, she was unbuckling Daisy and picking her up. I am so mad at myself, because I FROZE. I wanted to yell, take her back, leave immediately, but I just stood there, and watched all tensed up as some stranger picked up my baby. I was holding this giant umbrella and kept thinking "Oh great, now I am going to have to stab some nice old lady in the middle of Chinatown to get my baby back". The lady just hugged Daisy, who hugged her back and then buckled her back up. However, my lesson was certainly learned. I did not stop the stroller for more than a few seconds for people to say hi after that.

Sushi with Dad.

Daisy has perfected the "Really, Mom?" look.

Okay. So this place. Why did I not come here last time I was in San Francisco? I had the best sundae of my life. Dark chocolate ice cream, dark chocolate chunks, dark chocolate fudge.

Then, of course, sourdough bread bowls with clam chowder from Boudins at the Fisherman's Wharf. Daisy loved the tops of the bread bowls, and chomped on that one the whole drive home.

Back in Sacramento, we celebrated Jordan's birthday! A lot of candles on that cake, right?! That is the famous Rocky Road cake that Jordan's mom makes. It is as delicious as it looks.

Daisy helped us pick some cherries in the family orchard.

We started giving Daisy little finger foods, and she loves feeding herself.

The dragon kite we got Jordan for his birthday! It looks so cool in action!

Watching Dad fly his kite

We really wore Daisy out with all our traveling...but then again, since she has been born, she has been carted to NC twice, New Orleans, California, and various places in Wisconsin. I think she is used to it :)

  2. people are so crazy! i was hiking with zoey in a backpack and a lady came up and was touching her and "playing" with her before I realized and turned around on the trail and was like "where the heck did you come from and who are you?" Why do people think they can just touch your kid without asking???

    1. I KNOW, RIGHT?! I mean, a part of me gets it. These are some cute babies. But still, some people just have no concept of boundaries when it comes to babies. I don't mind when people say hi, or try to make Daisy laugh. But I really mind when they touch her.
